The Lawn Mower Incident

So my neighbor, Dan, decides he's going to “trim his lawn fast” by hooking his old push mower to the back of his bike. He’s dead serious about it too. He even rigged up some elaborate rope contraption to make sure it stays put.

All is going well at first. He’s pedaling, the mower is “mowing,” and the whole neighborhood is watching. But, of course, there’s a stray rock in the yard, and this mower goes airborne. It detaches, rolls down the hill, and stops right next to our mailman, who is just standing there, wide-eyed.

Now Dan’s banned from “creative” lawn care and bikes on the

 same day.
